Yayoi Kusama – Tribute Website Designed and Coded from Scratch

This tribute website to Yayoi Kusama was fully designed and coded by me using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I wanted to create an interactive experience that reflects Kusama’s iconic use of repetition, contrast, and visual intensity. Everything was built from scratch, which gave me full control over both the design and development process.

I used JavaScript to add interactive features throughout the site, including an image carousel, a lightbox for viewing artwork, and a tab component to organize the content in a more engaging way. These elements helped bring the layout to life and made the site feel more dynamic and intuitive.

Right now, the site is built specifically for desktop. It’s not yet responsive for mobile, but improving that is something I plan to work on as I continue developing my front-end skills.
